Full Job Description
How will you make an impact? The EHS Manager:
  • Manages and leads the Environmental, Health, and Safety program to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards.
  • Develops, implements, and continuously improves EHS policies, procedures, and programs to reduce workplace risks and promote a culture of safety across the organization.
  • Provides strategic direction and hands-on guidance to EHS staff and cross-functional teams, overseeing incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action processes.
  • Serves as the primary EHS liaison with regulatory agencies, corporate leadership, and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What will you do?
  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations, workers compensation, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence of injuries, illnesses, and environmental releases.
  • Manage regulatory compliance activities including permits, reporting, recordkeeping, and agency correspondence (OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state/local authorities).
  • Design and deliver EHS training programs to employees, supervisors, and management to promote awareness and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage EHS staff, including EHS Engineers and Coordinators, to ensure consistent program execution across all sites.
  • Monitor EHS performance metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports and presentations for senior management and corporate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support environmental monitoring programs, including air, water, and waste management activities.
  • Manage EHS budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to support program objectives.
  • Act as primary point of contact during regulatory inspections, audits, and emergency response situations.
How will you get here?Education/experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a closely related field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in environmental, health, and safety roles, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Experience must include direct responsibility for EHS program management, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA general industry and/or construction standards (29 CFR 1910 / 1926), EPA regulations, and applicable state/local EHS requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or VPP frameworks).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare regulatory submittals, internal reports, and training materials.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, actionable programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to identifying trends and measuring program effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience managing multi-site EHS programs across multiple geographic locations.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) – Preferred
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) – Preferred
  • OSHA 30-Hour (General Industry or Construction) – Required
Work Environment info:
  • This position operates in both office and industrial/manufacturing environments, requiring regular time on the production floor, or outdoor locations to conduct inspections, audits, and training activities.
  • The employee may be exposed to varying weather conditions, loud noise, chemical hazards, and other industrial environments typical of manufacturing operations.
  • Physical demands include the ability to walk, stand, climb, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, as well as the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

The pay range for this role is $108,000 - $194,500. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
