Who are we looking for?

We are currently seeking an associate within our Environmental and Municipal Law department for an existing vacancy in our Head Office in London.

The successful candidate will have a detail oriented and organized approach, with the ability to multi-task in our fast-paced practice. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in Municipal, Development and Environmental Law as well as business development experience, which may include an established, portable book of business with growth potential.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Strong understanding of Ontario's environmental regulatory framework, including statutes such as the Environmental Protection Act, Planning Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, Provincial Offences Act, and related regulations.
  • Experience in environmental law including defending Ministry prosecutions, civil litigation and providing advice to municipal clients.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple files simultaneously and independently.
  • Exceptional research, drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and client-service mindset.
