Job SummaryProvides expert technical support to company programs and projects related to water, groundwater, land, biological, ecological, toxicological, and similar environmental programs. Leads
environmental permitting activities, scientific studies, and field studies for company facilities, with a focus on water issues, including NPDES permits, industrial user permitting, wetlands/streams impacts, cultural resources, threatened and endangered species, surface and groundwater withdrawals, construction and industrial stormwater, land disturbance, drinking water, sewage disposal, for existing and new facilities.
Leads and manages from inception to completion, complex environmental projects that may include negotiation of difficult regulatory compliance issues; expert testimony and presentations on environmental issues; preparation of position papers regarding scientific and regulatory positions; and training of company staff. Promotes corporate environmental policy by helping employees identify practical, innovative ways to meet environmental requirements. Interprets new and existing regulations, prepares required reports and registrations, develops regulatory analyses and compliance materials, and minimizes company regulatory exposure, cost, and project risks.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience7-8+ years of relevant exempt experience in directly related field. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year.

Note: Work is primarily in an office environment with trips to field locations as needed.
