Job Description
As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer you will be responsible for safeguarding people, property, and the environment across our operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conduct regular facility inspections, risk assessments, and waste-segregation audits.
Review, investigate, and implement action plans for work-related injuries, illnesses, accidents, and safety concerns.
Coordinate and schedule vendor services, and oversee bulk-material sampling (e.g., asbestos testing).
Develop, deliver, and maintain training programs for PIT and earth-moving equipment, including record-keeping and certifications.
Support emergency-response exercises and contribute to sustainability initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
Requires an Associate degree and 2-5 years of experience in environmental and/or safety role
Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and compliance audits.
Familiarity with OSHA standards, EPA regulations (e.g., RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act), and local/state environmental/occupational health statutes.
Ability to interpret and apply industry-specific regulations (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NFPA codes).
Proficiency in hazard identification tools (HAZOP, FMEA, JSA).
Experience with environmental monitoring equipment and software (e.g., air/water sampling, GIS, EHS management systems).
Competence in incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action implementation.
Strong written and verbal communication for preparing reports, training materials, and presenting to
multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to influence and drive safety culture across all organizational levels.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to conduct site inspections, which may involve climbing ladders, walking in industrial environments, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Eligibility to work in the country of employment and any required security clearances (if applicable to the employer).

- Earth mover equipment operation certification (Train the Trainer/Operator)
- PIT equipment operation certification (Train the Trainer/Operator
- RCRA Hazardous Waste Management certification
- DOT Hazmat Ground shipper certification
- Method 9 Opacity Reading certification
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Certifications (often required or preferred)
OSHA 10-hour General Industry or Construction certification.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $63,800 - $112,470. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $73,400 - $127,075. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
