Full Job Description
The purpose of this position is to direct the operation of the Health, Code Compliance & Animal Care Services department, planning, conducting, and administration of environmental health programs. Responsible for the enforcement of city ordinances and State of Texas Health laws and regulations; and, prevention and/or control of food borne diseases and communicable diseases. This job formulates long-range goals for the organization, develop policy and position papers and negotiates with the chief administrative officer and/or elected officials.
