Position SummaryWe are seeking an
Enterprise Systems Architect to define and lead the technology architecture supporting our cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, and manufacturing applications. This role will oversee Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, and manufacturing platforms such as Manufacturo, DELMIA Apriso, Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE, or similar.
The Enterprise Architect will partner with IT, cybersecurity, engineering, and manufacturing teams to design secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that connect enterprise systems with plant operations. This is a hands-on architecture role responsible for technology strategy, design standards, integration, and technical oversight of implementation on Voyager's classified and non-classified systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap for Azure, endpoint management, and manufacturing applications.
- Define Azure architecture standards for networking, identity, security, governance, resilience, monitoring, and cost management.
- Establish Microsoft Intune architecture and standards for device enrollment, configuration, application deployment, compliance, patching, and endpoint security.
- Guide the architecture, implementation, integration, and modernization of Manufacturo, Apriso, 3DEXPERIENCE, and related manufacturing and engineering systems.
- Design integrations among manufacturing execution systems (MES), product lifecycle management (PLM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), quality systems, and enterprise data platforms.
- Partner with plant operations and operational technology (OT) teams to address connectivity, security, production availability, and change management requirements.
- Define identity and access patterns using Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, single sign-on, and Conditional Access.
- Establish application lifecycle, environment, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements aligned with operational needs.
- Evaluate technology and vendor proposals for architectural fit, integration complexity, supportability, and total cost of ownership.
- Maintain architecture diagrams, reference designs, integration standards, and technical decision records.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical direction to internal teams, implementation partners, and managed service providers.
- Translate business requirements into actionable solution designs and communicate recommendations to technical teams and business leadership.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eight or more years of progressive experience in enterprise IT, infrastructure, or application architecture, including at least three years in an architecture leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience designing and governing Microsoft Azure environments, including identity, networking, security, monitoring, and hybrid connectivity.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows endpoint management, application deployment, device compliance, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience architecting or integrating manufacturing or engineering applications.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and the role of MES, PLM, ERP, traceability, and quality management systems.
- Experience designing integrations using APIs, middleware, messaging, and enterprise data services.
- Ability to design for security, availability, scalability, and recovery while accounting for production constraints.
- Experience leading technical projects and coordinating across business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities or enterprise-wide manufacturing transformation initiatives.
- Experience with two or more manufacturing platforms such as 3D Experience, Apriso, Manufacturo, CQ, or others.
- Familiarity with IT/OT segmentation, shop-floor connectivity, and industrial cybersecurity practices.
- Experience supporting digital thread initiatives that connect product design, manufacturing execution, and product lifecycle data.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code, automated deployments, and architecture governance frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMS, DoD STIGs, Secure Cloud Services (SACA, SCCA).
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
The good faith base salary rangefor this role is
$165,000-$195,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
