Job Description

The Enterprise Strategy Architect will act as an individual contributor to work with architecture, engineering, and business partners across Chubb to define the strategy, architecture, and ensure best engineering practices for strategic platform efforts across the company.

Responsibilities
  • Create and evolve the enterprise-wide platform strategy.
  • Communicate and get buy-in of strategy from senior executive stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic vision and roadmaps for platforms across Chubb.
  • Act as a key individual contributor driving the strategy and direction for the modernization of the Chubb technology portfolio.
  • Create the operating models and mobilize the platform strategy.
  • Prioritize the platforms that need to be built or standardized on based on business drivers and pain points.
  • Understand the needs of the platform client teams, and influence platform roadmaps to meet those needs.
  • Influence teams across the company to adopt platforms and create patterns to make adoption easier.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science or Engineering degrees preferred.
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate with executive audiences.
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture.
  • Coding experiences and skills preferred in Java, .Net, Python, Kafka, MQ, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, and Azure.
  • Ability to guide and mentor junior and senior architects to drive good architecture practices and standards.
  • Ability to guide and mentor development teams on sound design and coding principles, best practices in API-based, Micro Services and Cloud environments.
  • Experience in application modularization and modernization including adoption of Micro Service Architecture models.
  • Ability to abstract-up to harvest patterns and articulate design decisions with senior audience (CIO level).
  • Knowledge and experience in insurance domain is a plus.
  • Experience in Information Security and Risk Management.
  • Experience in cloud solution design and implementation of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and hybrid models.
  • Understanding of platform design and technology considerations to build out an ecosystem for producers, clients, and internal staff.

The pay range for the role is $240,000 to $255,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
