S2i2 is building a team to deliver enterprise storage and data protection for DLA J6, including SAN, NAS, object storage, backup, and disaster recovery. The role spans five major DLA sites and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, OCI) on NIPRNet and SIPRNet, providing critical support to DLA's mission.
Clearance: Active Secret with IT-I (Tier 5) eligibility
Work Schedule: On-site, Monday through Friday.
Position Overview:
As a Systems Engineer, you'll be hands-on with hybrid storage and disaster recovery in the cloud. You'll execute DR failovers, ensure enterprise applications remain highly available, and engineer arrays, fabric switches, and backup solutions both on-premises and in Azure/AWS. You'll also document your designs and test results, helping drive innovation and reliability across the DLA's storage infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead engineering for cloud and hybrid storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions in DLA environments
Perform DR failovers and ensure high availability for critical enterprise applications
Design, implement, and maintain storage arrays, fabric switches, and backup systems on-premises and in the cloud (Azure/AWS)
Document architecture, designs, and test outcomes for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, GICSP, or CND)
At least one of: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Dell DCA-ISM, NetApp NCDA, NetApp Hybrid Cloud Admin/Architect/Implementation Engineer, NetApp CIE SAN, Cohesity DataProtect, or NetBackup certification
Minimum five (5) years of engineering experience including enterprise storage and backup integration
At least three (3) years hands-on with hybrid storage (Azure and/or AWS)
At least two (2) years with enterprise SAN and backup/restore (Cohesity, NetBackup, AWS Backup, Azure Site Recovery, OCI)
At least two (2) years supporting DoD or DoW IT systems
