About the Role:This position is being recruited in anticipation of a contract award. The Enterprise Solution Architect defines and governs the technical architecture supporting the DoWEA Education Platform, ensuring secure, scalable, and interoperable enterprise solutions across instructional and business systems.
Location:- Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (Hybrid)
- Candidates must reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. This position follows a hybrid work schedule and requires onsite support at a Government-designated location in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Clearance Requirements:- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Applicants selected for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Government background investigation and all applicable security requirements.
Salary Range: - The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000-$190,000 annually.
- Final compensation has not yet been determined and will be based on factors including contract award, position requirements, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
Responsibilities:- Develop, maintain, and evolve the enterprise architecture supporting instructional, operational, and administrative systems.
- Lead architecture reviews for cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and enterprise data platforms.
- Define enterprise integration strategies using modern API frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Government stakeholders to develop technology modernization roadmaps aligned with mission objectives.
- Ensure enterprise solutions comply with Federal and DoWEA cybersecurity, privacy, accessibility (Section 508), and enterprise architecture standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and governance processes.
- Support technical planning, solution design, and modernization initiatives across multiple technology domains.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering, development, infrastructure, and integration teams.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of enterprise architecture experience supporting Federal IT environments.
- Demonstrated experience designing enterprise cloud solutions and systems integration architectures.
- Demonstrated experience supporting the Department of War Education (DoWEA).
- Experience leading enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
