Major/Essential Functions
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, documenting, modifying, and maintaining computer systems and software applications, including prototypes, in accordance with user or system design specifications and business requirements. Perform systems analysis and participate in the planning, evaluation, and enhancement of new and existing systems, including managing system interfaces and conducting feasibility studies. Developing, reviewing, and maintaining programming code for custom, existing, and vendor-supplied applications, including applying upgrades and implementing enhancements to improve functionality, adapting to technology changes, and correcting application errors. Researching, designing, documenting, and maintaining software specifications and solutions throughout the application life cycle. Developing, documenting, and maintaining application programming interfaces (APIs) and integration solutions between enterprise applications. Providing ongoing operational support for ERP and other software systems. Performing additional programming and support tasks as assigned by management. Adhering to all applicable institutional and departmental policies, including IT OPS requirements. Requires Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related or, alternatively, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related & 24 months experience. Participate in rotational 24-hour on-call schedule. Teleworking is permitted within the city of Lubbock, Texas. Passing a drug test is a condition of employment in this position. Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related or, alternatively, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related & 24 months experience.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
