Full Job Description

The Vice President of Global Pricing will establish and lead nVent’s enterprise-wide pricing vision, governance, operating model, processes, analytics, tools, and capabilities to enable profitable growth and create a more consistent customer experience globally. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this highly visible role will lead the transition to a unified yet federated global pricing model that balances enterprise consistency with segment, business unit, and regional agility.


This is a unique opportunity to build a world-class pricing capability and advance pricing as a strategic lever for margin realization, faster commercial decision-making, stronger governance, improved data visibility, and better customer outcomes. The role will build and lead the Pricing Center of Excellence and partner across business segments, functions and regions to drive enterprise adoption and measurable business impact.


WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION
Enterprise Pricing Strategy, Governance & Operating Model
  • Define and lead the enterprise-wide pricing vision, governance model, operating model, policies, processes, and roadmap to support profitable growth, margin expansion, speed, and customer experience.
  • Establish enterprise governance rhythms that improve consistency, compliance, commercial effectiveness, and speed of decision-making.
  • Develop and mature a federated hub-and-spoke pricing model where the enterprise team owns strategy, governance, analytics, technology, and capability development while enabling business units to set strategy and implement local pricing actions within common guardrails.

Pricing Center of Excellence & Enterprise Capability Building
  • Build and lead the enterprise Pricing Center of Excellence as the foundation for common pricing methodologies, value-based pricing approaches, tools, analytics and reporting standards.
  • Standardize pricing processes, key performance indicator definitions, standard methodologies across segments, business units, regions, and channels.
  • Lead enterprise pricing capability development and talent strategy, enabling pricing teams with training, playbooks and tools to improve margin realization and commercial effectiveness.

Financial Performance, Analytics & Value Creation
  • Drive pricing as a strategic value creation lever to improve profitable growth, price discipline, margin realization, competitiveness, and customer experience globally.
  • Establish enterprise pricing key performance indicators to measure price realization, margin leakage, price-volume-mix, elasticity, adoption, value capture, and business impact.
  • Partner with finance and key partners to align pricing strategy to margin, growth, lifecycle profitability, forecasting, and profitability analysis

Digital Enablement, Data & Pricing Technology
  • Own enterprise pricing technology and platform governance, including pricing data standards, ERP readiness, master data quality, system alignment, and the pricing technology roadmap.
  • Lead adoption of pricing platforms, CPQ capabilities, reporting tools, and common data standards to create a reliable single source of truth for pricing decisions.
  • Partner with Digital, IT, Finance, and segment teams to rationalize legacy tools and spreadsheets, improve data transparency, support system integration, and enable scalable decision support.

Cross-Functional Leadership, Customer Experience & Business Partnership
  • Serve as the senior enterprise pricing advisor to executive and key stakeholders.
  • Build credibility across functions by translating complex pricing analytics into valuable strategies, policies, decisions, and business recommendations.
  • Improve the customer experience by enabling faster quote decisions, clearer price change communications, consistency across regions and channels, and better responsiveness to local market needs.

YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive pricing leadership, revenue management, commercial finance, product management, sales operations, or commercial excellence experience, preferably in a global B2B industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Significant experience building or transforming enterprise pricing strategy, governance, operating models, processes, technology, and capability across a complex, matrixed global organization.
  • Deep expertise in pricing strategy, value-based pricing, revenue management, customer segmentation, discount governance, price realization, margin leakage, price-volume-mix, elasticity, and financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing, channel-driven sales models, custom-quote environments, deal desk operations, product lifecycle economics, and portfolio pricing architecture.
  • Experience with pricing platforms, CPQ, ERP data, BI dashboards, analytics tools, data governance, master data quality, automation, and pricing technology roadmaps; experience with Pricefx preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop pricing strategies in close collaboration with cross0functional partners to drive sustainable revenue growth and strengthen long0term relationships.
  • Executive presence, strong communication skills, and demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership while influencing enterprise change across functions, regions, and business units.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$241,500.00 - $359,000.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
