Full Job Description
About the Role

Phylo just launched publicly, backed by a $13.5M seed round co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Menlo Ventures/Anthropic. We have strong enterprise inbound, active deployments, and a growing pipeline of pharma and biotech teams adopting Biomni Lab. Now we need someone to turn that momentum into a repeatable commercial engine.

This is one of our first commercial hires - a rare chance to build the GTM function from scratch, selling a product with real technical moat at the frontier of AI and biology. You'll own the full enterprise sales cycle - discovery through close - while acting as a solution architect who can sit in a pharma R&D meeting, understand the science, and design proposals that land. You'll work directly with our CEO, founding team, and scientists to shape how Phylo goes to market.

What You'll Work On
  • Own enterprise biotech and pharma accounts end-to-end from outreach, discovery, proposal design, pilot, to close.
  • Act as a solution owner: gather customer problem statements, design tailored solutions with the technical team, and present them back.
  • Build outbound strategies targeting specific use cases: target discovery, indication expansion, literature-scale analysis, and more.
  • Develop relationships across the biopharma ecosystem, including R&D leaders, computational biology teams, data and tool partners.
  • Drive co-marketing, integration, and distribution partnerships with ecosystem collaborators.
  • Shape GTM strategy (e.g., pricing, packaging, segmentation, and retention) as we build the commercial function from scratch.
Requirements
  • Proven track record closing or significantly advancing enterprise deals in biotech, pharma, or life science software/data.
  • Strong scientific literacy: you can discuss experimental design, evaluate data sources, and hold your own with R&D stakeholders. Background in biology, computational biology, or biomedical science strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication: crisp proposals, clear presentations, and comfort navigating both boardrooms and bench scientists.
  • Self-starter who thrives with ambiguity, builds process from scratch, and moves fast.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves beyond this job description: whether that's drafting a case study, jumping on a support call, or helping shape product roadmap. You're here to build the GTM function, not just fill a seat.
Nice to Have
  • Experience at the intersection of AI/ML and life sciences - computational biology platforms, LLM-powered tools, or data analytics for pharma.
  • Prior startup or founder experience.
  • Existing network in biopharma R&D or biomedical data ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with knowledge graphs, multi-omics data, or biomedical NLP.

Why Join Us?
  • Competitive salary and equity share in building the future of biomedical discovery
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage, including free therapy sessions and eyewear stipend
  • 401(k) to help you build long-term financial security (US only)
  • Unlimited PTO to recharge when you need it (US only)
  • Lunch and snacks when you're in the office
  • Regular team offsites and company events
  • A culture of excellence and speed - we move fast, think big, and support each other every step of the way
  • Your work will directly impact our mission to 100X biomedical discoveries through AI
