Job Title: Enterprise Network System Administrator

Location: Downey, CA

Job Type: 12-month contract, W2

Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week

Pay Range: $53.54 per hour

Job Description:

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Systems Administrator to support and maintain large-scale enterprise network infrastructure, security monitoring, and critical IT systems. This role is responsible for ensuring network availability, troubleshooting complex issues, monitoring system performance, and supporting secure, reliable operations across the organization.

Schedule
  • Hybrid work schedule available after completion of a 4-8 week onsite training period.
  • Supports a 24/7 enterprise operations environment.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work assigned day, evening, or overnight shifts as needed:
  • 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (overnight)

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network, security, wireless, and voice infrastructure.
  • Support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and network monitoring platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve network performance, connectivity, and security incidents.
  • Utilize enterprise monitoring tools to ensure system availability and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain technical documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and continuous improvements.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis, where applicable.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise networking services and common networking protocols.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Network Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a security monitoring environment.
  • Experience supporting Cisco enterprise networking equipment, Cisco Nexus switches, ASA firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and enterprise voice systems.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and management tools such as OpenNMS, Cisco Prime, NetScout nGenius, Elastic Search, SCOM, Dynatrace, CACTI, and related platforms.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server, Linux Server, and IBM z/OS environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco APIC, Cisco VoIP Call Manager, McAfee MVISION, Wireshark, SecureWorks, WebCTRL, and other enterprise security and monitoring technologies.
