Responsible for enterprise implementation, maintenance, and end-user hardware and software support services for clinical departments such as Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology, Sleep and EMU. Interacts with other Information Technology groups, as well as clinical departments and physicians, in order to provide service for requests, projects and trouble calls. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

What you will do
37Provides support to internal and external customers on site, by phone or by screen sharing to analyze reported incidents or requests resulting in a successful repair.37Provides maintenance of new existing hardware and software through established maintenance procedures.37Assists in monitoring the Imaging Team Help Desk queue.37Participates in project planning, analysis, kick off and implementation.37Assists in developing and maintaining proper departmental documentation.37Participates in research and development of new hardware and software solutions.37
Education/Formal Training Requirements
37Required - Associates Degree 37Preferred - Bachelors Degree Biomedical Engineering 37Preferred - Bachelors Degree Computer sciences 37Preferred - Technical Degree or Diploma 37
Work Experience Requirements
37Required - Related Experience 5-7 years 37Preferred - Substitutions Allowed: In lieu of an Associates degree, the candidate must have eight (8) years of hands experience on computer hardware and software support experience OR six (6) years of hands on computer hardware and software support experience plus two (2) years or more clinical experience as a working Radiology or Cardiology technician or higher. 37

37Demonstrated understanding of PACS workflow and experience directly supporting computer hardware and software, implementation and support.37Exhibits strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.37Demonstrated understanding of supporting a large number of devices in a complex and diverse environment.37Ability to work closely with other technical resources to analyze, maintains, and administers enterprise systems and solutions.37Demonstrated ability to work successfully in the highly specialized field of systems software and to master the understanding of complex computer hardware and software.37Full technical knowledge of all phases of software analysis and programs.37Advanced ability to take initiative and exercise independent, judgment occasionally to resolve problems.37

Physical Demands
37Must be able to interpret equipment status indicators to determine appropriate operating condition. Indicators may include visual and/or auditory techniques or cues. 37Must occasionally use small hand tools and be able to manipulate small equipment components such as computer cables, screws, nuts, or other fastening devices as usually found on computer equipment. 37Will occasionally experience stressful working conditions due to tight project schedules and hardware/software problems. 37Subject to regular periods of repetitive hand motion in the operation of computer terminals or other equipment. 37The physical activities of this position may include crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. 37Must have good balance and coordination. 37The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently. 37Must provide own transportation. 37Subject to call back at all times. 37The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading. 37The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work. 37
