Senior SAP SD Reimbursable Functional
Analyst / Enterprise Architect within the U.S. Army's General Fund Enterprise Business System - Sensitive Activities (GFEBS-SA). This role requires
onsite work 5 days a week in customer's SIPR location.
Responsibilities What You'll Do
• Serve as the senior SAP SD Reimbursable Functional SME for Tier-2 production support.
• Analyze complex SAP SD and reimbursable process issues to determine root cause, business impact, and resolution path.
• Support reimbursable transaction activity involving sales orders, billing documents, customer master data, document flow, accounting integration, funding impacts, collections, closeout, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot production issues involving billing errors, failed accounting, reversals, interfaces, reports, authorizations, master data, user questions, closeout-related activity, custom reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, batch jobs, security/authorization issues, and failed transactional processing.
• Review, analyze, approve, validate, and reference functional specifications for system changes, defects, enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, and other SAP updates.
• Support regression testing, integration testing, UAT, production validation, and post-deployment verification.
• Coordinate with MM, FI, FM, ABAP, Basis, security, interface, reporting, and business process teams to resolve cross-module issues.
• Identify recurring ticket trends, backlog drivers, and process gaps; recommend actions to improve production stability and reduce repeat issues.
• Support month-end, year-end, audit, financial reconciliation, and closeout activities related to reimbursable processing.
• Communicate issue status, risks, impacts, workarounds, validation results, and next steps to users, functional teams, technical teams, and leadership.
This is not a people-management role. The position functions as a senior analyst and escalation point for complex functional issues.
QualificationsThis role serves as the senior functional escalation point for Tier-2 production support related to SAP Sales and Distribution (reimbursable) module on GFEBS-SA team. The ideal candidate has strong SAP SD experience, understands complex production support environments, and can analyze issues across sales orders, billing documents, document flow, master data, interfaces, reporting, accounting impacts, and closeout activity.
Clearance and Access- Active Secret clearance is required and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government system access and credentials as required by the program.
Required Qualifications:- MA/MS Degree
- SAP SD functional experience in a production support, sustainment, or enhancement environment
- Hands-on experience supporting SAP SD in SAP ECC
- 10 years of experience supporting government, defense, federal, public sector, or similarly complex reimbursable business processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain SAP behavior and issue resolution paths to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, document findings clearly, and operate effectively in a government support environment
Desired Qualifications: - Top Secret clearance is preferred.
