Enterprise Architect (Software & Data focus) Chicago, ILSummaryWe're looking for a strong technical architect to evaluate our technical environment, work with business stakeholders to understand business goals, and architect technology solutions for our software stack, with a heavy focus around data.
The specific areas this role will touch is broad, and includes, but is not limited to: CRM, Accounting/Finance Software, HR-related software, websites, Data Architecture/BI, Collaboration Technology, Real Estate Software and other Enterprise Software.
What you'll be doing - Define Enterprise Architecture strategies, principles, vision, standards, tools and methodologies.
- Develop/enhance and lead execution of the technology roadmap for the organization aligning it with strategic business goals covering all critical enterprise applications and technologies.
- Lead and champion the deployment of a data and analytics platform that integrates varied sources of data and delivers business value
- Define enterprise application integration capabilities including the use of services-based frameworks and other data integration technologies
- Advocate and leads the use of standard software engineering delivery methodologies ensuring strong business engagement and adoption
- Champion the use of visual modeling tools for defining technology architectures
- Provide leadership and guidance on all aspects of technology during an implementation project including, but not limited to, requirements analysis and design, product selection, vendor selection, component selection, configuration, development, conversions, system testing, cut over and production support.
- Collaborate with wider portfolio community in sharing best practices, lessons learned. Constantly updates the technical system architecture based on evolving technologies and products.
- Lead data architecture efforts to structure, integrate, govern, store, describe, model, and maintain data in the enterprise for optimal accuracy and usage
- Champion the use of visual modeling tools for defining data architectures and constantly update the data architecture based on evolving technologies and products.
Skills we're seeking - 10+ years of experience with software and/or data engineering
- Looking for someone who started their career as an engineer, and progressed into an architect
- 5+ years of experience with software and data architecture
- Experience architecting enterprise-grade solutions spanning multiple functions
- BI experience
- Experience with working with and influencing business stakeholders to get buy in for key technology decisions
- Experience leading the execution of new technology initiatives in an Agile fashion
- Must be willing to travel to the LA area 10% of the time
Nice to haves - Experience working in Microsoft environments
- Not everything we do is Microsoft, but we do leverage Microsoft products such as Dynamics (CRM), Power BI, etc.
- Real estate industry experience
