CGI Montreal is looking for an Enterprise Architect to act as a strategic advisor to the parent company and three subsidiaries. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a consolidated view of the application portfolio, identifying opportunities for standardization and consolidation, and defining a target application architecture. You will be expected to provide recommendations on which applications should be retained, standardized, replaced, or retired, and to produce a prioritized IT roadmap that considers business value, risks, dependencies, technological complexity, and future needs.
Key Deliverables:
• Consolidated inventory and mapping of the application portfolio across the four entities, including an assessment and rationalization matrix
• Recommendations for standardizing internal solutions and replacing them with best-of-breed solutions where required
• Target application architecture and gap analysis
• Prioritized and sequenced IT roadmap presented to management

Your future duties and responsibilities:• Understand the business strategy, IT direction, and specific characteristics of the parent company and its three subsidiaries
• Conduct a consolidated inventory of applications, including ownership, business function, users, criticality, technology, hosting, interfaces, costs, lifecycle, and risks
• Plan and facilitate interviews and workshops with business leaders, managers, IT stakeholders, application owners, and leaders responsible for data, integration, infrastructure, and cybersecurity
• Identify redundancies, overlaps, obsolete or underutilized applications, technology risks, and consolidation opportunities
• Compare solutions used across the different entities and recommend internal applications that could become corporate standards; classify applications to retain, invest in, consolidate, replace, or retire
• When required, evaluate best-of-breed market solutions based on functional requirements, integration capabilities, security, scalability, cost, and vendor maturity
• Define the target architecture and develop a prioritized and sequenced multi-year IT roadmap, including initiatives, dependencies, quick wins, costs, and key risks
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Business Administration with an IT specialization, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 5 years in enterprise architecture, application architecture, or solution architecture
• Experience in rationalizing and transforming application portfolios in environments with multiple divisions, subsidiaries, or business units
• Experience defining target architectures, selecting commercial/SaaS solutions, developing technology roadmaps, and facilitating workshops with business, IT, and executive stakeholders
• Experience in enterprise architecture, application architecture, and/or Application Portfolio Management (APM) to map business capabilities
• Good understanding of systems integration, data management, cybersecurity, and cloud computing
• Knowledge of TOGAF, ArchiMate, or an equivalent architecture framework
• Ability to assess costs, risks, technical debt, dependencies, and business value
• Excellent analytical, synthesis, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to build consensus among multiple entities with differing needs and to work effectively with senior leadership
• Strong critical thinking, autonomy, attention to detail, and results-oriented mindset
• Ability to translate complex challenges into concrete, actionable recommendations
• TOGAF, ArchiMate, ITIL, or a relevant cloud architecture certification will be considered an asset
• Experience in consulting, mergers and acquisitions, subsidiary consolidation, or technology harmonization will be considered an asset
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English (spoken and written)

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 80 000$ et 155 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
