Key Responsibilities

Strategic Technology Assessment
    • Assess the end-to-end CIS business and technology value chain, including data center operations, facility operations, service delivery, and supporting business capabilities.
    • Evaluate existing applications, platforms, tools, and technologies inherited through organic growth, acquisitions, and legacy operating models.
    • Assess the effectiveness, scalability, integration maturity, and business alignment of current technology solutions.
    • Identify capability gaps, redundancies, risks, and opportunities for consolidation and modernization.

Enterprise Architecture & Future-State Design
    • Develop enterprise capability models, technology blueprints, and future-state architecture strategies.
    • Define a target-state technology ecosystem aligned with CIS business objectives and growth strategy.
    • Establish architectural principles, standards, and governance frameworks to guide future technology investments.
    • Ensure alignment between CIS technology initiatives and broader enterprise architecture objectives.

Technology Strategy & Transformation Planning
    • Create strategic recommendations addressing technology modernization, digital transformation, platform adoption, and operational optimization.
    • Lead business and technology assessments to determine where existing enterprise platforms can be leveraged versus introducing new technologies.
    • Evaluate competing technology approaches and provide recommendations based on business value, risk, scalability, and operational impact.

Build vs. Buy Decision Framework
    • Conduct buy-versus-build assessments for critical business capabilities and technology platforms.
    • Evaluate vendor solutions, market offerings, and technology ecosystems.
    • Develop recommendation frameworks considering cost, speed to market, long-term supportability, integration complexity, and strategic alignment.

Roadmap & Execution Planning
    • Translate strategic recommendations into actionable implementation plans.
    • Develop multi-year transformation roadmaps with defined phases, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
    • Create execution strategies that clearly outline:
    • Timelines and implementation schedules
    • Resource requirements
    • Budget and cost estimates
    • Operating model impacts
    • Risk mitigation plans
    • Change management considerations
    • Prioritize initiatives based on business value, complexity, investment requirements, and organizational readiness.
    • Ensure strategic recommendations are practical, executable, and measurable.

Financial & Business Case Development
    • Develop cost models, investment cases, and total cost of ownership analyses.
    • Assess business benefits, ROI, operational efficiencies, and strategic value for proposed initiatives.
    • Support leadership in technology investment planning and prioritization decisions.
    • Establish value realization frameworks and success metrics to measure outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
    • Partner with business leaders, operations teams, product owners, and technology organizations to align strategic priorities.
    • Facilitate executive workshops, strategy sessions, and architecture reviews.
    • Build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups and drive informed decision-making.
    • Provide leadership on technology conflicts, prioritization challenges, and cross-functional dependencies


Preferred Qualification
    • Experience with large consulting organizations such as Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, Bain, BCG, or McKinsey.
    • Experience in data center operations, critical infrastructure, facilities management, industrial operations, or related industries.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms, enterprise applications, data platforms, integration architectures, and modern digital ecosystems.
    • Experience performing technology due diligence, capability assessments, and operating model design.

The ideal candidate is not a traditional solution architect or technical architect. Instead, they are a strategic thinker who can:
    • Understand both business strategy and technology strategy.

    • Drive enterprise-wide alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.
