Summary:

The HCS Enterprise Analytics & Interoperability Developer - Research Technology supports one or more components of the end to end lifecycle of research technology, analytics, and cloud infrastructure, that enable research and related business functions across the health system. This includes, but is not limited to, planning, requirements definition, system and platform design, development, testing, integration, implementation, optimization, and ongoing operations of new or existing research technology platforms.

This role provides hands on technical support for cloud based research environments, and research data platforms (e.g., Azure hosted research workspaces, Databricks, SHIRE and SHIRE Lite environments). The role also delivers direct technical support to researchers and internal teams, including ticket based support, documentation, automation, and development of reusable operational assets.

The HCS Enterprise Analytics & Interoperability Developer - Research Technology is an individual contributor role that works under supervision.

Responsibilities:

Research Technology, Cloud Platforms, and Analytics Infrastructure

  • Respond to researcher and internal support tickets related to cloud based research environments, analytics platforms, and infrastructure services, ensuring timely, high quality resolution.
  • Administer Microsoft Azure-based research systems, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security components supporting research workloads.
  • Support package management and maintenance of shared software repositories used across research computing environments.
  • Configure, maintain, and support Databricks environments, including custom configurations required for research workflows and approved use cases.
  • Support the development, enhancement, and operation of SHIRE automation scripts and workflows; contribute to improving reliability, scalability, and eventual full automation where appropriate.
  • Provide infrastructure and platform support for SHIRE Lite research workspaces, including configuration, testing, and operational readiness.
  • Plan for and participate in system upgrades, patches, and platform revisions; test changes to ensure stability, security, and compatibility with research use.
  • Participate in data governance, stewardship, and security processes as appropriate for research technology platforms.
  • Develop and maintain clear, understandable documentation describing system configuration, operational procedures, automation, and troubleshooting; update documentation as platforms evolve.
  • Support research analytics and data science workflows by maintaining reliable, scalable, and cost effective infrastructure.
  • Contribute to additional enterprise analytics and data science support activities as needed, aligned with organizational research priorities
  • Work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate the ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks and priorities.
  • Provide technical consultation and support to research users and internal partners using established request tracking and support processes.

Healthcare Analytics & Interoperability - The HCS Enterprise Analytics & Interop Developer supports analytics and/or interoperability products and services for business functions across the health system. They engage in technical support request fulfillment. The HCS Enterprise Analytics & Inter Analyst approaches each new opportunity or challenge with the mindset of providing scalable, reusable, reliable, redundant, and recoverable systems and operations. Data Governance stewardship process participation is expected. They develop and maintain clear, understandable documentation to describe program development and modification, as well as troubleshooting. They update system and support documentation as necessary to reflect changes to programs, solutions, reports, and interfaces.
Communication and relationships - The HCS Enterprise Analytics & Interop Developer supports departmental and organizational priorities in day-to-day work. They collaborate with team members to successfully complete assigned tasks, share knowledge openly. They communicate in a manner that is clear, concise, and politically and culturally sensitive.

Professional Experience Requirements:
• If a Bachelor's Degree in other field, requires two (2) years of experience.
• If a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (i.e. Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Analytics, etc.), then no years of experience is required.
• If Master's Degree, then no experience is required.
• If current certification in analytics, requires one (1) year of experience.
• If an Associate's Degree, requires four (4) years of experience.
• If High School Diploma, requires six (6) years of experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
