About the Role:The Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for driving new business growth and expanding market penetration within the mortgage origination industry, with a primary focus on full-service mortgage bankers and depository institutions. This role develops strategic relationships, identifies client needs, and positions Byte Software solutions to deliver measurable business value. Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, deep industry knowledge, and a commitment to ensuring long-term client satisfaction beyond the initial sale.
This is a remote position that is based in Columbus, OH. This role may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
What You'll Do:- Develop and execute prospecting strategies to identify, engage, and cultivate new business opportunities within the mortgage origination market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients through networking, industry events, trade shows, vendor partnerships, referrals, and existing client relationships.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand business objectives, operational challenges, and technology needs, positioning Byte Software solutions as strategic business enablers.
- Manage opportunities throughout the full sales cycle, maintaining consistent communication, advancing deals toward commitment, and ensuring accurate pipeline and activity tracking within CRM systems.
- Collaborate with Marketing and internal stakeholders to support sales initiatives, develop client-facing resources, and provide market feedback on competitive positioning, product strengths, and emerging industry trends.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador by effectively communicating Byte Software's value proposition and demonstrating how its solutions address mortgage origination challenges.
- Travel as needed to meet with prospects, clients, and industry partners, and attend conferences, trade shows, and other business development events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the mortgage industry, with direct exposure to mortgage banking operations, technology, or related business functions.
- Proven ability to build credibility, establish trust, and develop executive-level relationships within complex sales environments.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify client needs and align technology solutions to business objectives.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly learn complex software products, features, and industry workflows.
- Working knowledge of mortgage origination processes and the regulatory and compliance requirements impacting lenders.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and virtual meeting/presentation tools.
- Experience with or willingness to learn AI tools and emerging technologies.
