Full Job Description
Are you passionate about helping customers get the most out of cloud technology? As an Enterprise Account Engineer II at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will serve as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers, guiding them through every stage of their cloud journey. From proactive architecture reviews and operational optimization to hands-on support during critical events, you will be at the center of ensuring customers achieve their business goals on AWS.

In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with strong relationship-building skills to influence how customers design, operate, and scale their cloud environments. You will work across teams to advocate for your customers, recommend best practices, and drive adoption of AWS services - including Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and modern cloud solutions. If you are a self-starter who thrives on solving complex technical challenges while making a real impact on customer outcomes, this is the role for you.

Key job responsibilities

- Serve as the primary technical advisor for one or more enterprise customers, providing proactive guidance on cloud architecture, security, performance, cost optimization, and operational readiness across their AWS environments.

- Conduct architecture reviews and operational assessments to identify risks, recommend improvements, and help customers achieve higher levels of cloud maturity and resilience.

- Plan and execute critical enablement events such as product launches, infrastructure migrations, and scaling activities - assessing readiness, mitigating risks, and driving architecture optimizations.

- Collaborate with internal account teams, service engineers, and solutions architects to advocate for customer needs, surface feature requests, and accelerate issue resolution.

- Develop and share technical content, lead customer-facing reviews of operational metrics, and provide data-driven recommendations that advance customer business outcomes.

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing operational health dashboards for your customer accounts, flagging any emerging risks before they become issues. By mid-morning, you are leading an architecture review with a customer's engineering team, recommending changes to improve availability and reduce costs. After lunch, you collaborate with AWS service teams to fast-track a feature request that will unblock a customer's upcoming migration. Later, you prepare a quarterly business review, translating technical insights into clear recommendations for stakeholders.

About the team

Our team within AWS Enterprise Support is dedicated to helping customers succeed in the cloud by pairing them with technical advisors who understand their business and technology landscape. We work closely with account teams, service engineers, and product groups to deliver a proactive, high-quality support experience.

We are focused on enabling customers to adopt new technologies - including GenAI and modern cloud architectures - with confidence. If you want to join a collaborative, customer-focused team where your technical expertise directly shapes how organizations innovate, we would love to hear from you.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
