Enrollment Manager

The Enrollment Manager is a mid - level management position that will work with the Director of Admissions in enrollment management functions as they pertain to all admissions programs, including recruitment and retention of students, coordination of admissions, and data compilation. Admissions recruitment, counseling, outreach and application review are all significant functions of this position. He/she assists in overseeing the department staff, and procedures for online, on-ground enrollment for international students. The Enrollment Manager also works with the Deans and faculty of the programs to provide program information to prospective students and for the implementation of Westcliff University Strategies, plans, and programs as they relate to student admissions. This position reports directly to the Director of Admissions.

Must be flexible with work schedule, is required to work weekends on occasion.

Admissions Support Duties:
  • Retrieves reports with various metrics as needed by higher management
  • Oversees general department's performance against departmental targets
  • Ensures quality control of department's day-to-day operations
  • Responsible for auditing and finalizing student files towards acceptance, denial, and registration
  • Manages and develops advisors within the department
  • Conducts and delivers performance evaluations for advisors ? Reflect and promote the mission and vision of the University.
  • Evaluate and develop an admissions program with the goal to maintain a capacity enrollment of qualified students and a list of qualified applicants.
  • Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment.
  • Present the school to prospective students, which include systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with candidates, tours of the institution, and interviews with candidates, and arrangements for admission testing, securing of necessary student credentials, and communicating final decision to the appropriate individuals.
  • Outreach and recruitment to current and prospective students

Managing Admissions Duties:
  • Provide vision, leadership, management, and ongoing training of admission team.
  • Lead a team of admissions and senior admissions to support students in their admissions process to achieve some of the goals of the Admissions Department:
  • Motivate and provide the team with weekly support
  • Monitor and track admissions activities
  • Analyze and track retention of students
  • Diffuse difficult admissions issues
  • Developing and maintaining strong, productive team dynamics
  • Proactively respond when higher level admissions situations and provide actionable solutions to admissions leaders.
  • Support the Director of Admissions in: analyzing daily prospect/applicant reports, set conversion goals, and monitor admissions advisor(s) progress and enforce accountability.
  • Assist in the recruitment activities and make presentations at on and off campus meetings, events as needed to support the domestic admissions team.
  • Identify risks to the organization within the department and discuss risk reduction options with immediate supervisor.

Keep all representative's knowledge current on sale processes

Ensure all representatives maintain their return call frequency as scheduled.
  • Ensure all representatives adhere to best practices on ethical process regarding advertising and sales.
  • Attend departmental meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other university meetings or events, as required.
  • Foster an educational environment that is conducive to learning, respect, integrity, teamwork, and professionalism.
  • Adhere to the requirements of accrediting, federal, and state agencies as well as the policies and procedures of the university.
  • Develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities and regularly monitor and reports results to the Director of Admissions, along with recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
  • Design, develop, update, and deliver professional quality presentations and training materials to include classroom trainings, job aids
  • Assist the Director of Admissions with coaching opportunities for junior staff.
  • Assist the Director of Admissions with junior staff's progress and development by implementing an evaluation and proficiency assessment process that is consistent with company performance evaluations, developmental and feedback.
