Join Cross Country Education in the Bronx, NY, as a dedicated English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher who can bring literature, writing, and discussion to life. You'll encourage students to think critically, express themselves confidently, and engage with new ideas throughout the school year.

Position Overview
  • Teach English Language Arts to middle and high school students, including 8th Grade ELA and AP Literature, through engaging, rigorous, and standards-aligned instruction.
  • Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, academic growth, and strong literacy skills.
  • Assess student learning, monitor academic progress, and provide instructional support to help students meet learning goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute proactively to the school community and instructional team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Valid New York State Teaching Certification (Preferred)
    • Non-certified candidates must have at least 12 college credits in English/ELA and provide a transcript demonstrating subject-area knowledge
  • 1-2 years of direct teaching experience in ELA or AP Literature at the middle or high school level, preferably in an urban educational environment

Competitive Pay: Earn $39.10 - $40.00 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications as an ELA Teacher, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
