Meet the team:In this role you will be part of the Advanced Research and Technology team that focuses on evaluating and establishing the feasibility of next generation sensing technologies and products for Dexcom. This is a technical role that will focus in characterizing novel sensor performance to support next generation biosensor products. You will work in a close-knit, dynamic, and fast-paced research environment aimed at transitioning concepts to robust technology demonstrators.
Where you come in: - Under the supervision of an R&D Engineer, you will work on test method development, test optimization, and execution of experimental studies for next generation biosensor technology.
- You will contribute to the design of new experimental setups and partake in test method development for next generation sensor technology.
- You will characterize sensors and execute experiments in a wet-chemistry lab.
- You will be performing various electrochemical tests and test preparation tasks in the laboratory to support new sensor testing needs and test development initiatives.
- You will have the opportunity to produce analysis tools or adapt existing tools to automate data analysis.
- You will perform basic troubleshooting of instrumentation and computers.
- You will conduct instrument installation and calibrations, test bath preparation, buffer and stock solution preparation, as well as collection and organization of bench test data.
- You will track build and test data for complete traceability of sensors tested.
- You will prepare and follow up on engineering build requests.
What makes you successful: - You have a demonstrated proficiency with laboratory analytical techniques and working knowledge of instrumentation.
- You possess experience working in a wet lab environment.
- You are meticulous with attention to detail on ensuring instrumentation and test setups are run and maintained correctly.
- You are able to follow test procedures and are methodical in performing tests consistently.
- You are adept at making experimental observations and proposing test hypotheses.
- You have experience with handling and plotting data using JMP and Microsoft Excel.
- You are motivated by problem solving and troubleshooting of test equipment to generate clean signal data.
- You thrive in a highly collaborative, team-driven laboratory environment.
- Experience with electrochemistry, electrochemical (bio)sensors and related testing processes is an advantage.

Travel Required:Experience and Education- Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience and High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.
