Engineering Project Manager in Austin,TX Salary - $130k per annum + Benefits Subcon -$73 per hour ( No layers are accepted) Note- Look for Engineering Project Manager only - we need someone who started his career as Developer and moved to TPM role ( so we will be able to find the right profile) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering /Technical Project Manager with Hands-on programming experience to lead complex technical projects within our organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing technology projects, with expertise in Project Management Professional (PMP) practices, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This role requires a proactive manager who can coordinate multiple project initiatives, ensure alignment with business objectives, and drive project delivery through effective leadership and collaboration. *Key Responsibilities:* - Plan, execute, and finalize technical projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, including acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants. - Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. - Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents, effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner. - Apply PMP methodologies and practices to manage projects through their lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure. - Utilize PPM tools and techniques to prioritize project portfolio based on business needs, resource availability, and risk assessment. - Manage PLM processes to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of products from concept through design, manufacturing, service, and disposal. - Conduct project post-mortem assessments and create recommendations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. - Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, setting realistic timelines and budget forecasts. - Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team. - Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, adjusting schedules and plans as needed. - Monitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders, presenting reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions. - Implement project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs as necessary, managing change requests and scope adjustments. - Perform risk management to minimize project risks, establishing a risk mitigation plan and contingency plans. - Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management. *Qualifications:* - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. - Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) is required. - Proven experience in project management in the IT sector, with a focus on technical projects. - Strong familiarity with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) practices. - Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment. - Experience with project management tools and software. *Preferred Skills:* - Master's degree in Computer Science - Additional certifications in Agile, Scrum, or related methodologies. - Experience in managing cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
