THE WORK
This Engineering Project Manager (EPM) position resides within the Multi-Domain Test Solutions (MTS) portfolio, responsibilities include technical management and oversight of executing LM-CORE™ Programs and new business activities related to the ATE products that occur with the portfolio. This EPM will lead the pursuit efforts related to the use of ATE within a platform's test community. The EPM will be the technical interface for each of those internal and external customers and user activities. The EPM will work closely with the MTS Portfolio Chief Engineer and the corresponding Program Managers on performance management including risk/opportunity management, customer / user satisfaction, future ATE proposal technical solution and estimation, and technical operations.
As the Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for:
• Cost, schedule and technical performance responsible programs
• Shaping the MTS offering and Leading the Technical Proposal efforts to ensure affordability and cost reductions continue to be driven into the business.
• Providing engineering support to the Program Managers within the MTS Organization.
• Accountable for overall engineering technical, cost and schedule performance on a platform's LM-CORE specific programs.
• Provide primary Tech Ops interface with Program Management (PM) Office/Customer for all programmatic items on a specific program.
• Responsible for identification and closure of technical issues.
• Meets/Exceeds all technical commitments made to the programs.
• Tracks Estimated time to Complete/Earned Value Management (ETC/EVM).
• Handle metrics to monitor program performance and identify technical or Tech Ops staffing risks, while managing cost/schedule.
• Provides timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements.
• Works closely with first and second line functional leaders to identify and secure appropriate staffing
• In concert with the Sub-Market Segment Chief Engineer and Portfolio EPM, ensures program plans and technical baselines are consistent with Program Control processes and Modern Engineering Practices.
This position will require the selected candidate to have the ability to obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of professional engineering experience
- Previous Technical Leadership experience
- Experience with managing Cost and Schedules
- Experience with design and development within a program
- Experience working with and presenting to DoD Customers
Desired skills
- Demonstrated experience leading development efforts
- Experience in avionics development and/or testing such as a Systems Integration Lab (SIL), flight line /field testing, and/or factory test experience
- Earned Value Management Experience
- Experience interfacing with US Navy or US Air Force customers and requirements
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $147,700 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
