A
Project Manager contributes to the success of Hartwig as a bridge between sales team, machine tool builder, external contractors, service team, and customer. Primary mission is to take an ordered machine or complex project from point of sale through to final customer acceptance. Ensuring the installation is completed on schedule, within budget, and to a precise technical tolerance.
Main responsibilities of this full-time role based in
Wichita, KS include:
- Work with local Engineering Team to obtain Machine drawings, foundation requirements, delivery door heights requirements, Air requirements, and electrical requirements
- Work with Project Coordinator (local to each office) to maintain logistic schedule
- Work with local Service Managers to schedule and coordinate the local team
- Work with local Engineering Manager to schedule and coordinate the local team
- Find and obtain resources for the service team
- Run and conduct errands that will relieve the service team from waiting on OEM products
- Document and create RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Actions)
- Work with local teams to find solution
- Break down the information and deliver to each team directly to take corrective actions.
- For duplicate machine installations, use existing database to compare growth or consistent struggles with the first installation.
- Work with Each team to build contingency plans for future installations, turnkeys, and engineering.
Qualifying Skills:Individuals who ideally fit this role should have the following qualifications reflecting on their resume:
- At least 5years of Project Management background in a related field
- Experienced in working with local Engineering Managers and Engineered Solutions team throughout the acceptance process
- Experience with handling issue resolution
- AE Alignment and Scheduling
- Freight management - Track transit of the machine from the OEM through customs to the customers facility
