Job Title:Engineering Project Management Coordinator

Location(s): Fort Worth, TX

Job Summary:

There is a possibility for extension, but undetermined at this time. Expectation to report at 777 Main, Fort Worth, TX 76102 a minimum of 3 days a week Tues-Thursday.

Looking for a Project Management resource to provide project controls and coordination support to the 765kV Engineering Team, covering both Substation (Station) and Transmission Line engineering activities. The PM will focus on communication, action tracking, schedule reporting, and leadership visibility to enable efficient execution of engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meeting Support and Coordination
    • Attend all regularly scheduled and ad hoc engineering meetings related to 765kV station and line engineering, including engineering coordination meetings, design review meetings, and interface meetings with other project disciplines.
    • Prepare meeting agendas as needed in coordination with engineering leads.
    • Capture, consolidate, and distribute clear and concise meeting notes, including decisions made, action items, assigned owners, and due dates.
  • Action Item Tracking and Follow-Up
    • Maintain a centralized action item log for station and line engineering activities.
    • Track progress of action items, including engineering deliverables and inter-discipline dependencies.
    • Proactively follow up with responsible parties to ensure timely completion.
    • Highlight overdue or at-risk action items to engineering leads and project leadership.
  • Status Reporting and Leadership Updates
    • Prepare regular written and/or dashboard-style status updates for project leadership, including overall engineering progress, key accomplishments during the reporting period, upcoming milestones, risks, issues, and required leadership decisions.
    • Consolidate input from both station and line engineering teams into a single, coordinated report.
    • Support preparation of materials for leadership briefings and gate reviews.
  • Schedule Tracking and Reporting
    • Support development, maintenance, and reporting of engineering schedules for 765kV station and line scopes.
    • Track planned vs. actual progress for key engineering milestones.
    • Identify schedule variances, emerging risks, and potential impacts to downstream activities.
    • Prepare regular schedule summary reports suitable for leadership review.
    • Coordinate with engineering leads to validate schedule updates and forecast completion dates.

  • Engineering action item log
  • Weekly or bi-weekly engineering status reports
  • Schedule status and variance reports
  • Leadership briefing materials as requested

  • Station Engineering Leads

  • Project Management Organizations and Scheduling teams

  • Other project disciplines as required (construction, procurement, permitting, etc.)
  • Project and executive leadership

Exclusions:
  • The Project Manager will not be responsible for performing detailed engineering design.
  • The Project Manager will not approve technical engineering decisions but will facilitate documentation and communication of decisions made by engineering leads.
