Engineering Program Manager

Location: San Antonio, TX as on-site or hybrid on-site with work from home

Full-time, Exempt.

Summary of Position

This position is responsible for managing the successful execution of engineering projects and capturing new business.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, direct, and run engineering projects
  • Responsible for cost, schedule, and performance of engineering projects
  • Develop IMS, WBS, Project Mgmt, risk Mgmt, and other project documents
  • Prepare quotes and proposals that are complete, compliant, and compelling
  • Interface with USGOV, Prime Contractor, and vendor personnel
  • Prepare and provide project status and financial performance reports
  • Integrate AS9100D standards across engineering operations
  • Allocate resources effectively and manage project budgets to meet profitability goals
  • Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in various activities related to safety, quality, productivity, innovation, information technology, security, supply chain management, business development, and human resources.
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Build and maintain a trusting relationship with employees
  • Communicate with employees about performance expectations
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff
  • Prepare quotes and proposals that are complete, compliant, and compelling
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities
  • Lead, support, and/or prepare responses to RFPs, Sources Sought, and RFIs

Required Qualifications
  • Citizenship verification is required for Export Control compliance. A "US Person" is defined in 22 C.F.R. 120.15 as including US Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and certain refugee or asylee designations.
  • Able to undergo an investigation for a security clearance and not previously had a security clearance denied or dismissed.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • At least 10 years experience in engineering and/or manufacturing environments
  • Bachelor Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Superb organizational skills with the ability to multitask across several projects
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving
  • Demonstrate professional and polite demeanor with all stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Program Management Certification/Experience
  • Business Development background
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
