Job Title: Engineering Program Manager, Naval GT Programs

Working Pattern: Fulltime

Working location: Indianapolis, IN

Relocation assistance will be provided if applicable

Position Summary:

As a Naval Marine Engineering Program Manager, you will be planning and delivering projects in support of the manufacture, certification, and customer support of Gas Turbine packages. You will be responsible for engaging with a cross functional team to deliver the design, fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance, and commissioning of gas turbine powered generator sets in marine applications and be the technical customer point-of-contact for specific contracts within the Naval Gas Turbine portfolio.

What you will be doing:
  • Coordinate with Customers, Design Engineers, Program Controllers, Program Managers, Resource Managers, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to deliver project schedules, resource estimates, clear definition of deliverables, and adherence to the plan and budget.
  • Attend and participate in a variety of meetings to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.
  • Analyze engineering sketches, specifications and related data, and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts. Engage in configuration management and change control of components, subsystems, and systems, including design documentation and data deliverables.
  • Compile and analyze test data to determine the effect on equipment design. Consider such factors as temperature, pressures, speed, power, and fuel consumption into the analysis. Oversee and participate in the testing of gas turbine power generation modules, mechanical drive packages, and control system components.
  • Manage processes as needed for responsible work packages, including PCB, safety management, risk management, cost management, internal and external program reviews.
  • Travel as required to support supervision of genset operations


Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology with 5+ years of experience OR;
  • Master`s degree in Engineering or Technology with 3+ years in of experience OR;
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen and eligible for Security Clearance.


Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in the areas of design, development, test, qualification and/or certification of gas turbine module integrated GT packages
  • Demonstrated technical project planning and management experience and ability to lead a multifunctional engineering team
  • Ability to make well-informed, rational decisions and demonstrate problem-solving skill within organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently or under the direction of senior engineers with a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions and respond quickly.
  • Self-motivated, confident individual with strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international) on a scheduled/unscheduled basis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Knowledge of risk and safety management within a quality management framework.
