The Engineering Manager - Crushing and Screening is responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation. Conducting business in a manner that compliments Wagner's Core Values, Statement of Purpose, and Safety Policies.
Pay Rate: $106,912.22 - $147,005.66 Annually
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.
Essential Functions:

• Propose a business plan to build out a team that can help manage major projects.
• Oversee the Project team in the Crushing and Screening division at Wagner Equipment and Crushing Equipment Solutions (CES).
• Manages project costs and schedule.
• Helps sales team bid project to include layout drawings and to be aligned with process flow that has been established.
• Agg Flow/ Bruno process design - would be a plus
• Plan, manage, and oversee greenfield and brown field projects, to include but not limited to; new plant builds, plant expansions, equipment installations/upgrades, and structural/electrical/civil components.
• Coordinate with sales department to define project scope/budget and develop schedules and risk assessments.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, engineers, and vendors to ensure project milestones and objectives are met.
• Conduct site assessments and work in conjunction with onsite team members, contractors and customer representatives to ensure project completion while exceeding safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and other industry-specific safety regulations.
• Manage procurement of equipment, materials and services related to the project.
• Resolve project-related issues, delays, or conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
• Track project performance and provide progress updates to senior management, sales department and customers.

• Approves expenses for direct report
• Helps to develop SOP for bidding and running projects.

• Ensures direct reports receive the tooling, training and direction needed to execute their responsibilities and perform the essential functions and basic duties identified in the job description for their positions
• Consults with supervisor to reach agreement on annual objectives, and carries out programs to meet these objectives
• Coordinates the efforts of direct reports to develop and manage the annual department budget
• Provides adequate reports as needed.
• Works closely with supervisor in the development and implementation of policies pertaining to the production operation
• Plans short and long-term requirements on equipment and facilities, and makes recommendations to supervisor
• Maintains positive control on all house and service accounts
• Audits and follows correct procedures for expense accounts
• Audits and follows correct procedures for the procurement of tools and supplies
• Oversees implementation of safety programs and safety training
• Sets standards
• Establishes and maintains a close relationship with other departments on projects as needed
• Maintains quality control over all projects
• Coaches and provides performance appraisals of direct reports
• Participates in interdepartmental meetings and customer meetings as required
• Works closely with internal customers to ensure the projects are completed in a timely and cost effective manner
• Maintains knowledge and understanding of products
• Designs installation of, and purchases, equipment for accessories on some projects
• Where applicable, inspects and verifies functionality and serviceability for all projects and works with Engineering if changes are required
• Other duties as assigned by manager
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Direct reports include Sale Manager, Parts Manager and Service Manager,
• Responsible for the P and L for the Crushing and Screening division
• Hires, trains, and directs a working staff sufficient to safely and efficiently perform their duties
• Provides on-going performance feedback, and conducts timely annual performance reviews, making recommendations for status or salary adjustments
• Ensures service personnel coverage on weekends, holidays, and for emergency service work
• Works with Wagner Training Institute to assess and meet training needs for employees
Required Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Some college or trade school required
• 8+ years in a responsible position within the heavy equipment service industry
• 1+ years sales experience
• 3+ years administrative/clerical
• 3+ years supervisory/management experience
• 5+ years customer service experience
• 5+ years technical or mechanical experience
