The Engineering Manager position allows a qualified candidate the opportunity to assist leading the pre-opening efforts for

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and direct the Engineering staff
- Coordinate maintenance tasks with the Director of Engineering
- Coordinate budgetary expenses with the Director of Engineering
- Responsible for the recruiting, hiring, training and retention of Engineering staff in coordination with the Director of Engineering
- Responsible for weekly scheduling of Engineering staff in coordination with the Director of Engineering
- Maintenance of supply inventory and par levels.
- Manage scheduling of regular preventative maintenance for equipment, guestrooms, and common areas
- Work with outside contractors to provide necessary improvements or maintenance as directed
- Maintain records of work activities and support materials
- Work with other departments when directed
- Provide written reports to other departments as needed
- Assign and perform daily rounds, e.g. checking boilers, common areas, sprinkler systems, lighting, refrigeration, fire panels, etc.
- Assign and attend to any work orders, guest requests, housekeeping requests, front desk requests, and guestroom calls
- Maintain all facilities and systems in safe and efficient working order
- Provide for safe disposal of all waste material
- Complete assigned tasks in a safe, timely manner
- Maintain tools and work area in a safe, secure, and efficient condition
- Perform electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, foodservice equipment, and HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to clearly communicate with guests and coworkers, including written and verbal communication
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours
- Must have schedule flexibility, possibly to include working nights, weekends, and holidays
- 1 year of previous maintenance supervisory experience preferred
- 3 years of previous hotel or apartment maintenance experience preferred
- Must have basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office
- Electrical, EPA, and/or HVAC certifications preferred
- Must be able to lift arms above head and shoulders
