Engineering Manager - Siteworks

The Siteworks Engineering Manager is responsible for leading Application and Product Engineering functions to support successful and accurate quoting, design, manufacturing, and installation of Siteworks products. This role ensures a high level of engineering performance, product compliance, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across trench drain, stainless steel, and green turtle product lines. The ideal candidate is a proven people leader with hands-on experience in civil site construction and manufactured products, capable of driving results through disciplined engineering processes and customer-focused execution.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead team on creating site layout designs, technical drawings, and other site drawing requirements for successful quote and installation of products.
  • Own critical engineering performance metrics, including drawing On Time Delivery (OTD), first pass yield, responsiveness to customer needs, etc.
  • Accountable for metrics for custom solutions, including OTD, product bills of materials (BOM), and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Accountable for technical engineering documentation, including specification sheets, installation instructions, application guides, white papers, etc.
  • Collaborate with customers and REP's to provide expert level service on specific job sites and projects.
  • Ensure products and applications are in compliance with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements and applicable codes and standards.
  • Maintain accountability for overall product part design across assigned product lines, including CAD files, BOM's, engineering change notices (ECN's), and revision control.
  • Work cross functionally with operations to ensure seamless transition from design to production and consistent product execution.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify/standardize product categories in order to simplify customer selection and product manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Flow Systems New Product Development Engineering team on product ideas, improvement opportunities, etc.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, workflows, digital tools, and technology integration.
  • Establish and maintain standard work, documented processes, and engineering best practices across trench drain, stainless steel, and green turtle product lines.
  • Serve as a technical subject-matter expert, educating internal teams and external partners on civil construction and how it applies to Siteworks products.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of engineers and drafters, setting clear expectations, performance goals, and development plans.
  • Drive engagement by fostering an environment that values collaboration, problem-solving, continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality engineering outputs aligned with business objectives.


Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Professional Engineer (PE) license, or Master's degree a plus.
  • 7-10 years of experience in engineering roles related to site construction, civil infrastructure, or engineering product manufacturing.
  • Successful prior experience managing engineering teams and functions similar in complexity and scope to this role.
  • Strong working knowledge of site construction practices, engineering products, CAD systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage performance metrics, lead cross-functional initiatives, and balance customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, sales teams, operations, and senior leadership.
