The Prediction Markets team at Robinhood is dedicated to delivering a premier trading experience and establishing Robinhood as the leader in the event contracts space. Enabling our customers to trade on the outcome of real-world events aligns directly with our mission to democratize finance for all! We collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and operations specialists to build state-of-the-art trading experiences across a wide variety of real-world events. As the Engineering Manager for Prediction Markets, you will lead a team of software engineers focused on building the complete user experience for key US and global events. In this leadership position, you will serve as a key partner in growing this business, which represents the fastest-growing segment in Robinhood's history! You will oversee the delivery of scalable UIs that enable customers to trade on diverse categories such as financials, crypto, sports, and politics. Additionally, you will guide technical architecture, mentor engineers, and help define how the event contracts space evolves across the industry.

This role is based in our New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected at least 5 days per week.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and support a team of software engineers in owning all consumer-facing features for our prediction markets product.
  • Be a thought leader with product managers, designers, and operations partners to design and launch trading experiences for major global events.
  • Define technical roadmaps, establish coding standards, and maintain operational excellence for our prediction market systems.
  • Mentor and develop engineers on the team, helping them progress in their careers and achieve technical excellence.

What You Bring
  • Experience managing and leading software engineering teams that deliver high-frequency or high-volume transactional systems.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong front-end focus, including proficiency in modern frameworks and languages.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with product management and design partners to launch user-facing products.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

Base Pay Range:

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)

$230,000-$270,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$203,000-$238,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)

$180,000-$211,000 USD
