Job Summary

The Engineering Manager, Lake Charles Operations will be accountable for developing and managing the engineering team for the Lake Charles office to service our existing clients and portfolio of work and development of new opportunities. The Engineering Manager would be responsible for fostering and expanding all service lines for the company (engineering, automation, fabrication, construction). The office would include core engineering personnel to support the local efforts, with support from other offices.

Essential Functions
  • Provides leadership with customers in area
  • Oversees and coordinate area execution
  • Advocate for expansion of services in areas (Engineering, Fabrication, Construction, Automation, etc.)
  • Coordinate with office PMs and engineering teams to resolve site-specific issues
  • Facilitate regular project status updates and meetings with clients
  • Support development of project scopes for proposals
  • Manage, develop, and recruit additional area execution team members
  • Addresses and resolves project issues with clients
  • Develops and meets revenue and other financial goals for assigned area.
  • Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization across assigned area.
  • Manages the negotiation of contract pricing when necessary.

Qualifications
  • Education/ Licensure Preferred: BS Engineering
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 5+ years of industry related experience on multi-discipline projects
  • Communicates effectively with customers to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
  • Continually defines ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
  • Maintains lasting customer relationships.
  • Ensures assigned teams deliver superior solutions to customers.
  • Provides senior level resolution to customer issues.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit; climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision depth perception, and ability to focus.

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to travel to client job-sites, usually involving heavy industrial (chemical) production facilities and access all areas of the facility. Therefore, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and the risk of electric shock. The noise level in work place can be loud to moderate depending on assignment.
