Job Title: Engineering Manager
Salary Range: CAD$115,043 - CAD$143,804

As a key member of the Canadian Leadership Team, the Engineering Managerwill implement overall performance bymaintaining high-performance machinery, optimised to deliver the highestpossible output at the right quality and in a safe manner. The role must manageboth the day-to-day performance and the long-term capacity needs of thebusiness. Working with Hilton Services to influence future capital requirementsto ensure the changing demands of the customer are always met with the latesttechnologies.

Purpose of the role:
KEYACCOUNTABILITIES
Set Up & Maintain the integrity of the equipment and the facility by effectively managing & coordinating all internal and external resources
Organise a department structure that is in place to support daily operations
Establish departmental KPls which are strategically aligned with the company's goals & objectives (i.e.Equipment availability, Planned maintenance completion, Departmental budget controls,GMP, 3rd Party Audits)
Proactively and constructively engage with Site Management Team on all requests to support business growth and flexibility to offer the most cost effective and highest volume service achievable, ensuring the business has solutions to meet the customer's long term demand profile
Proactive and constructive involvement within Hilton Group activities, sharing best practise and driving longer term strategy
Facilitate and lead projects within the PMR process & drive continuous improvement through TPM techniques to deliver business performance improvements across all areas. (line performance, throughput, yield and labour cost reduction)
Create and develop a high performing talent pool within the engineering department to support all new technologies employed on site, through apprenticeship and graduate programs, as well as development of existing engineering team through a training and development program.
Create a continuous improvement culture within the engineering department to deliver site wide cost improvements.
Use RGC CMMS to ensure data is available to deliver PPM completion rates,engineer utilisation and asset management.
Manage the Site facilities. Ensure all energy statutory reporting is submitted in a timely manner, ensure we maintain all subsidies available.
Set up, design and ensure procedures and policies exist and are implemented to comply with standards of work/ regulatory bodies/Health and safety requirements.
Develop effective lines of communication in place between engineering, the SMT, the business/externally where appropriate
Recruit and develop the site team.
Proactively engage the Site Operations Manager/ General on personal development
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Minimum of 10 years overall business experience
Previous Engineering management experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Proven track record in leading significant change initiatives that have delivered breakthrough results
People management knowledge and experience, and strong cross-functional business acumen required
Able to drive and lead change
Able to delegate
Fluent in Microsoft Excel; proficient in Word & PowerPoint
Lean/ Continuous Improvement expertise
