The OpportunityJoin Adobe's mission to transform the future of data driven experiences. We are seeking an engineering manager to lead a team building client side components and services that enable intelligent, data driven capabilities across Adobe's platforms.
This role is ideal for a technical leader who brings strong software engineering fundamentals, experience with large scale data systems, and a passion for growing high performing teams. You will guide engineers working across client and SDK development (desktop, mobile, and web), cloud based services, and data platforms, ensuring that intelligence and analytics are designed into the system end to end.
What you'll Do- As project lead, own project commitments and deliverable incorporating the full software development lifecycle: requirements definition, design, prioritization, implementation, build CICD, testing, deployment, and operational support; this includes driving the project scrum team: standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- As people manager, support engineers in building deep technical expertise while developing leadership, ownership, and cross team influence; responsible for regularly providing individuals clear feedback, performance management, coaching and mentoring, promotions management, recruiting, and hiring.
- Coordinate dependencies and releases across multiple teams, ensuring smooth integration between clients, SDKs, and backend services. Partner closely with product management, design, analytics, and infrastructure teams to deliver cohesive platform solutions.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with leadership on project status, risks, and outcomes.

What you need to succeed- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a technical leadership or people management role.
- Solid grounding in software fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and system design.
- Experience driving operational excellence in supporting released software, including reliability, performance, and cost awareness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and subject areas.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and planning tools (e.g., Jira).

Expected Pay Range:Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $147,900 -- $293,250 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $202,500 - $293,250In Washington, the pay range for this position is $178,200 - $258,000
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
