Full Job Description
JOB DETAILS: The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for the operation of a state-of-the-art laboratory grown diamond manufacturing footprint in Gresham, Oregon. The role will leada team of Process Engineers responsible to ensure the development and improvement ofproduction processes across the site as well as managing the qualification and implementation ofnew processes. The Process Engineering Manager will drive yield improvements by utilizingLean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence techniques to optimize processes andstandardize work. Further, this role will lead a team of Process Engineers and work closely withEquipment Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain. Duties and tasks include the following: ' Create a Zero Harm mentality towards Health and Safety within the Process Engineering team. ' Manage a team of Process Engineers tasked with the development and implementation ofproduction processes in line with best Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence techniques,and execute against these Strategies and drive continuous improvement at all levels within theteam. ' Coach, mentor, and manage the performance of the Process Engineering team. ' Manage the qualification and implementation of new production processes. ' Oversee the site safety program including training, reporting, and correction of safety issues. ' Be a key member of the site leadership team and ensure that the Process Engineering team'sKPI's are delivered upon in order to achieve the overall Site Targets & Objectives. ' Participate as a member of the OEE Team to report issues, solve problems, and driveimprovements. ' Utilize Production and Quality data to drive decision making. ' Lead projects and deliver fundamental long-term process improvements. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: THIS POSITION REQUIRES ABACHELOR'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING,MATERIAL SCIENCE, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, PHYSICS, OR CLOSELY RELATEDFIELD, PLUS 5 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR CLOSELYRELATED OCCUPATION. Special Requirements: EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE OF: 1. Chemical Vapor Deposition Process Knowledge 2. Experience with manufacturing techniques used in processing superhard materials 3. Experience working cross functionally in a local and international manufacturing environment 4. Data science/data analysis techniques ' utilizing production and quality data to drive decisionmaking 5. Experience leading site critical projects to drive new product introductions or capital projects MUST POSSESS EXPERTISE/ KNOWLEDGE SUFFICIENT TO ADEQUATELY PERFORM THEDUTIES OF THE JOB BEING OFFERED.
