Engineering - Circuit Design Engineer | Orlando, Florida, United States [About the Role] Join a dynamic team in Orlando, FL as a Circuit Design Engineer, leading the design and development of mission-critical power electronics for advanced defense systems. As the key engineer on the ADSWAP CN program, you will take full ownership of circuit card assemblies, driving innovation from initial concept to final release. Collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-reliability power distribution solutions that meet demanding environmental and performance standards. [Responsibilities] - Lead end-to-end design of circuit card assemblies, from schematic capture and EPCAD layout to verification and release - Ensure all designs comply with power distribution, EMI, grounding, isolation, and environmental requirements - Partner with mechanical, software, and test engineers to streamline procurement and testing, accelerating project timelines - Capture schematics and produce layouts using Siemens Xpedition Enterprise, applying advanced routing and EMI mitigation techniques - Conduct trade studies for component selection, architecture, and manufacturing process optimization - Develop and maintain comprehensive design data packages, including BOMs, test plans, and verification documentation for Design Assurance reviews - Trace system performance and interface requirements throughout the complete design lifecycle - Mentor junior engineers, promoting technical growth and a collaborative, inclusive work environment [Required Skills and Experience] - Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) - Minimum 8 years of professional experience in circuit card design for power electronics - Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise for schematic capture and layout - Demonstrated ability to develop and refine system requirements and interface specifications - Strong experience in circuit card integration, testing, and documentation [Preferred Skills] - Expertise in system power design and power distribution architecture - Deep understanding of EMI grounding and isolation principles - Experience with EPCAD for layout and signal routing - Familiarity with Design Assurance processes and environmental qualification testing (shock, vibration) - Ability to perform trade studies and produce detailed architecture diagrams [Benefits] - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge defense technology with real-world impact - Collaborative, inclusive team environment with mentorship opportunities - Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package - Career growth and advancement within a stable, industry-leading organization [How to Apply] Ready to take your engineering career to the next level?
