Position Description

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide support for the mechanical design, analysis and testing of complex mechanical, opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Responsibilities will include design, analyses, integration, and testing of complex hardware from conceptual design through fabrication and field performance evaluation. The candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals with a strong academic background and be capable of taking on a broad range of challenging problems involving structures, mechanisms, thermal systems, optics and electronics. The successful candidate will be expected to present the design concepts to both internal and external audiences. This position involves working in close-knit teams with design, analyses and test personnel. The position may involve travel to meetings and field sites.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals with strong academic background.

Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate good written and oral communication skills and require little or no supervision.

Education

BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Clearance:

Interim clearance is acceptable upon start; secret clearance is required for maintaining the position. The candidate must be willing to undergo a background investigation for a Top Secret clearance once Secret clearance has been approved.

Recent Graduate Hiring Range: $100,200 - $120,000

Experienced Hiring Range: $100,200 - $150,000
