Job OverviewMechanical Engineer with experience in design, development, and testing of wheel motors used in off-highway vehicles such as construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and mining trucks.
Key Job Responsibilities- Design and Development:
- 8+ years' experience designing drivetrains for off-highway vehicles.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed design specifications and drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
- Testing and Validation:
- Conduct simulations and physical tests to validate wheel motor and drivetrain performance.
- Analyze test data and make necessary design adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Project Management:
- Manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source components.
- Oversee the production and assembly of prototypes.
- Technical Support:
- Strong background in gearing and bearing concepts.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and service teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wheel motor performance.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
Qualifications/Requirements- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in motor design, preferably in the off-highway vehicle industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of motor control systems and power electronics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
