Position SummaryThe Engineer - Subsystem, Device Power Electrics supports and executes defined engineering work for electrical power subsystems within appliance devices. This role develops requirements, validates performance, maintains interfaces, and supports product decisions involving power supplies, electrical elements, contactors, switches, capacitors, harness, connectors, emissions shielding, pumps and motors.

Essential Responsibilities:- Execute assigned device power electrics subsystem work involving power requirements, component selection, interface definition, safety objectives, quality/reliability expectations, and cost targets.
- Develop and maintain electrical requirements, schematics, harness/interface details, specifications, test requests, risk records, and controlled documentation for assigned scope.
- Evaluate power supplies, converters, connectors, fuses, protection devices, wiring, sensors, control board interfaces, grounding, insulation, and related electrical components.
- Conduct load analysis of the system to ensure reliable and safe conditions at edge cases.
- Support DVP&R testing, prototype builds, design reviews, tolerance checks, electrical safety reviews, manufacturability discussions, and serviceability evaluations.
- Analyze test data related to voltage, current, power budget, thermal behavior, transient response, protection behavior, reliability, noise, and electrical safety constraints.
- Coordinate with embedded device, software, system, lab, certification, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and service teams to ensure electrical interfaces support product-level objectives.
- Investigate routine subsystem issues related to power behavior, wiring, connectors, board interfaces, installation variability, field service, test anomalies, or supplier components.
- Support applicable UL, CSA, EMC, product safety, labeling, wiring, and certification readiness considerations as assigned.
- Participate in supplier communication, component qualification, sampling plans, issue investigations, and corrective action support for assigned electrical components.
- Prepare clear engineering summaries, test conclusions, risk updates, and design records suitable for review by senior or lead engineers.
Job Responsibilities:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required for engineering roles; Associate or Bachelor's degree aligned to the relevant ladder where specified.
- 3+ years of related engineering experience; Associate degree with Level 10-equivalent experience may be considered where applicable.
- Working knowledge of electrical power subsystems, appliance electronics, power supplies, wiring, control boards, sensors, protection devices, or embedded hardware interfaces.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product specifications, test procedures, supplier data, and engineering change documentation.
- Experience with electrical test equipment, data analysis, component qualification, root cause problem solving, and controlled documentation.
- Understanding of subsystem interfaces and power budget, thermal behavior, safety, reliability, EMI/C, manufacturing, and service requirements affect product performance.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills with the ability to execute assigned work and escalate technical risks appropriately.
- UL product safety exposure.
