Education/Certifications:- Active Professional Engineer's License in either NAME (Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering) or Mechanical Engineering
- PM Level II or equivalent certification
Experience Required:- At least ten (10) years demonstrated experience with Government vessel design, construction, and repair with primary focus on marine engineering, machinery control systems, auxiliary systems integration and systems engineering.
- Experience performing detailed design and analysis in order to evaluate planned engineering changes in support of major shipbuilding acquisition (DHS/USCG Level 1, DoD ACAT I or equivalent) and repair projects.
Job Summary: Engineering support for United Stated Coast Guard (USCG) Homeland Security Cutter (HSC) Ice & Ocean Program Management Office (PMO).
Essential Duties:
- Tasking may include but is not limited to the following: Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, Concept Development, Design Documentation and Technical Data, Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgy/Materials, etc.), Engineering Process Improvement, Independent Verification and Validation, Integration, Interoperability, Life Cycle Management, Modeling and Simulation, Prototyping and Fabrication Support, Quality Assurance, Red Teaming and Wargaming, Requirements Analysis, System Design, System Integration, System Safety Engineering, Test and Evaluation, Technical Documentation, Mission Assurance, Data Analytics, Architecture Design, System Verification and Validation, Baseline (Configuration) Management, Data Management, Risk Management, Technical Planning, and Integrated Master Schedule Support
- Leverage knowledge in consulting, investigating, evaluating, planning and designing, and engineering principles
Salary: The projected salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000 and is based on experience and contractual requirements. However, this is not a guarantee of salary.
