Your future role on the teamBBA is currently seeking an engineer in PyrometallurgicalProcesses to provide high quality consulting services to its growing clientbase in high-temperature metallurgical operations.
As a Process Engineer, you'll help develop process solutions andparticipate in studies aimed at defining new processes or supporting businessdevelopment initiatives to modernize and decarbonize existing processes,worldwide.
You must have at least seven (7) years of experience in pyrometallurgicaldesign and be able to explain and present your designs to client teams. Yourpractice will include designing complex metallurgical flowsheets and runningsimulations for operations, such as drying, prereduction, preheating, roasting,smelting, converting and fire refining. You'll also need knowledge orexperience in raw material handling and in managing process gases and fugitiveemissions. Knowledge of acid plants and electrorefining would be an asset.

- Serve as a technical link with clients and present reports, publications and presentations
- Develop a network of contacts with suppliers and clients

The experience you bring- Undergraduate or graduate degree in metallurgy or chemical engineering from a recognized university
- At least seven (7) years of experience in pyrometallurgical design and development in base, precious or specialized metals
- Experience in high-temperature process simulation or design, with a strong desire to keep up to date with design tools
- Ability to register as a professional engineer in Canada
- Active participation and representation of BBA at conferences and university events
- Occasional travel within Canada or abroad required
