The Impact You'll MakeAs a Product Applications Engineer, you will be a technical expert helping Danfoss shape the future of data center liquid cooling. You will ensure our quick disconnects, hoses, and assemblies are successfully qualified, specified, and deployed in hyperscale and multi-tenant environments. Your insights from customer programs will directly influence product strategy, engineering roadmaps, and new development priorities, strengthening Danfoss' position as a trusted expert in fluid conveyance for next-generation thermal management. Your work will accelerate design wins, improve system reliability, and support our mission of driving reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in data center liquid cooling.
What You'll Be Doing- Serve as the technical expert for liquid cooling components within data center architectures, including racks, manifolds, cold plates, and coolant distribution units (CDUs).
- Lead engineering engagement with hyperscalers, integrators, OEMs/ODMs, and CDU manufacturers through regular technical touchpoints and onsite support.
- Manage product qualification activities by defining timelines, driving feasibility and validation testing, coordinating with engineering and operations, and maintaining customer open-item trackers.
- Execute quotation and part activation processes with Sales, including cost and lead-time coordination, CRN assignment, and product setup in Salesforce and SAP, while maintaining accurate technical documentation and revision control in Teamcenter.
- Deliver training, webinars, application notes, and customer-ready technical presentations, while capturing Voice of Customer insights and translating market and engineering trends, including single- and two-phase cooling, into product development and long-term roadmap inputs.
What We're Looking For- Five or more years of experience in applications, product, or field engineering.
- Experience related to data centers, cooling systems, thermal management, or fluid conveyance is preferred.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, engineering drawings, and system requirements, including flow, pressure, materials, and connection types.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills for technical presentations, training, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with engineering, PLM, and commercial systems such as Teamcenter, SAP, and Salesforce is preferred.
