As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work across the full software development lifecycle, developing embedded control systems that drive advanced compressor technology. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and gain exposure to embedded systems, automated testing, production tools, and modern software technologies.

This is an in-person position based in our Turbocor Global Headquarter in
Tallahassee, FL.
What You'll Be Doing- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain embedded C/C++ software for advanced compressor control systems, contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Partner with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to develop, verify, troubleshoot, and optimize software and hardware solutions.
- Strengthen software quality by promoting best practices in requirements traceability, testing, documentation, version control, and software configuration management.
- Provide technical leadership in embedded cybersecurity, helping ensure compliance with industry standards and secure product development practices.
- Support a variety of software platforms, including embedded real-time systems, industrial communications, engineering support tools, automated testing systems, and production applications.
- Mentor team members, share technical expertise, and help build a collaborative culture focused on continuous learning and innovation.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience with C/C++, including 3+ years of embedded software development.
- Experience working with embedded systems, debugging complex applications, and troubleshooting software issues.
- Proficiency with development environments such as Texas Instruments Code Composer Studio, Eclipse, or similar IDEs.
- Experience using Git or other software configuration management and version control tools.
- Strong understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming, and database concepts.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to work across different technologies and environments as business needs evolve, with the ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
Preferred Experience - Experience developing C/C++ applications in Linux environments.
- Knowledge of embedded Linux, board bring-up, kernel drivers, U-Boot, and multi-core system-on-module platforms.
- Experience using oscilloscopes and communication protocol analyzers, including I2C, SPI, and SCI.
- Familiarity with software design patterns and cybersecurity standards for industrial devices, such as IEC 62443.
