Engineer - Process
Job DescriptionIn one of our manufacturing roles, you'll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. Job responsibilities include:
- Initiate, design, develop and optimize Manufacturing/Converting assets and supporting processes to achieve unit objectives.
- Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an implementer of engineering principles and /or scientific analysis in meeting unit objectives.
- Support implementation of the loss control improvement process by compliance with critical safety rules. Visibly demonstrate that safety is a value by following safety procedures, maintaining a safe workplace and complying with safety rules. Develop equipment, processes and products that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Actively participate in achieving organization and personal safety objectives. Follow the Safety Roles and Responsibilities Matrix by holding yourself and all team members accountable to its tenets.
- Maintain security and documentation to ensure the retrieval of data and protection of proprietary information.
- Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/opportunities to achieve unit objectives.
- Internal Control: Lead assigned projects/tasks to meet unit objectives within applicable corporate policies. Place emphasis on Corporate Financial Instructions (CFI) and Internal Control.
- Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates and others who have need to know. Be informative without being obtrusive or vexatious. Communicate in a way that is timely, yet prompt; complete, yet concise; candid, yet accurate; and clear, yet responsive.
- Assist in the development of others in the area of his/her expertise, while demonstrating an understanding of those with a diverse background or experience.
- Improve process capability to deliver a reduction in defects and variability. Identify, develop, and implement products, processes, materials, systems, and procedures to achieve business objectives.
DIMENSIONS
Vary widely with assignment and typically include:
- Project responsibility of $0.5 to $1MM
- Support Project Engineering team, Maintenance, and/or Operations
- Multiple projects
KEY CUSTOMERS Project Leaders, Engineering, Research, Operations, Maintenance, and Consumers
CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS
• Identify and resolve process and equipment problems.
• Initiate creative and practical designs which meet expectations.
• Implement engineering and scientific analysis principles.
• Apply engineering standards and procedures.
• Document work to ensure information is retrievable.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's (or MS) in Chemical or Paper Making Engineering degree is required.
- Relevant industrial co-op/intern experience is highly desirable.
- May 2027 graduates and/or availability
- A 3.0/4.0 or higher-Grade Point Average is required
- Analytical skills to collect and assess data to support technical recommendations.
- A demonstrated ability to lead self or small teams to achieve intended results.
- Evidence of continuing self-development.
- Ability to work within a team-based environment.

Salary Range: 79,880 - 94,440 USD
At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
