  • $39.57/hr


SHIFT: 3-12hr shifts + 1 6hr shift (Include days of the week)

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Pre-Treatment Plant Operator is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Brewery-wide industrial utility systems such as process and potable water treatment and wastewater pre-treatment. Operators routinely monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain all systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to OSHA and plant safety standards, including Lockout-Tagout, work permitting, and Process Safety Management.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, multi-crafted worker that is able to work autonomously in a fast paced and often loud production environment.
  • Process monitoring and operation of all wastewater pretreatment unit processes in a manner to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental permit limits
  • Sample collection, lab analysis and interpretation of the results
  • Perform maintenance and repair to all equipment and instrumentation
  • Operation of screening, clarification, anaerobic digestion, and biogas handling equipment.
  • Perform administrative functions, weekly and daily report generation
  • Work with outside vendors on special projects
  • Maintain bulk chemical inventory
  • Work on process improvement projects and standard operation procedures
  • Safety activities: confined space entry and burn permits; equipment lock out/tag out
  • Housekeeping and cleaning of all equipment, structures and facilities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Solid interpersonal and team orientation skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to lead change
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment equipment and processes
  • Knowledge of anaerobic and anaerobic wastewater treatment processes and
  • water chemistry
  • Experience with the operation and maintenance of industrial or municipal
  • wastewater or water treatment plants.
  • Ability to effectively work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to extract, evaluate and utilize data for process improvement from all
  • applicable resources
  • Available to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays
