YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:Reporting to the Maintenance Planning & Reliability Superintendent, you will be part of the Planning & Reliability Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for maintenance and capital projects. Monitor actual costs vs. budget and forecast future expenditures.
- Analyze cost trends by using predictive modeling based on historical data and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare business cases based on these opportunities and present them to management.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and project teams, supporting audits and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Develop cost control dashboards using tools like Power BI and Excel.
- Integrate cost data with operational systems (CMMS, Wenco) to support decision-making.
- Support capital investment decisions with cost-benefit and lifecycle cost analyses.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Finance, or related field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in cost control in maintenance or asset management is required.
- A strong understanding of cost accounting and financial planning principles is essential.
- PMP and/or CCP, CFA, and FRM certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in a mining environment is preferred.
- Very strong skills in MS Excel, Outlook, and Project are preferred.
