Reliability Engineer, III – Hybrid (3 Days in Towson)

The Job:
As a Reliability Engineer, you’ll be part of our new product development reliability team working as a hybrid employee. You will help design and test the next generation of power tool products by supporting the development of brand-new tools and systems. You’ll get to:
- Support New Product Development projects from a reliability perspective, including failure analysis, warranty modeling, test development, safety assurance, and compliance adherence.
- Work alongside multiple teams and communicate with customers to support a wide range of projects at different stages of development.
- Establish and maintain project and milestone documentation, including test plans, status reports, and FRACAS.
- Utilize various data streams and perform data analysis to assist with design decisions and make risk assessments.
- Lead safety reviews during the development process to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Collaborate with internal compliance teams to obtain accurate product approvals (KEMA, TUV, UL, CSA, etc.).
- Represent the Voice of the Customer in quality-related product development activities and respond to market complaints.

In fact, you embrace it. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electro-mechanical systems, reliability, data analysis, and a passion for driving innovation in the power tools industry. You also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of industry or educational experience in reliability engineering, quality engineering, testing, or failure analysis, preferably in new product development.
- Experience supporting reliability activities for consumer, industrial, or electromechanical products; power tool experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of FRACAS, root cause analysis, reliability testing, risk assessment, and warranty analysis.
- Experience driving product safety and supporting development teams with reliability and risk-based decision-making.
- Interest and capability in data analysis and programming, including tools such as Python, SQL, and advanced MS Office.
- Experience analyzing test, field, and warranty data to identify trends and support engineering actions.
- Familiarity with reliability methods such as Weibull analysis, life data analysis, DOE, or physics of failure is a plus.
- Experience supporting teardown analysis, benchmarking, and development of new test procedures is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

The Salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $115,900.00
